Who put the purpose in a purpose driven life?

Are you looking to live a purpose driven life?  Why?  In the book, The Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren challenges us to look at why we are here and what our purpose is in life.  Have you ever wondered why we had to find purpose for our lives to begin with?  What was the cause of that need?  How was the concept “purpose driven life” born?

Don’t misunderstand, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life, nor is there anything wrong with living a purpose driven life.  How, though, did life become so lacking in purpose that we each needed to find one?  And even more important a question … what if finding a purpose driven life is not what you want?  Are you screwed?  Are you just too stupid or shallow to know that you should want a purpose driven life?

The book, A Life Worth Living is about you learning to create what you want for your life.  If it’s a stronger bond with some god, so be it.  If it’s a purpose driven life, fine. This book challenges each of us to create a new way of life – a way of life where good things happen naturally for people.  But what if that’s not what you want?  Great, that’s the best part – creating what you really want in your life will lead to a way of life where good things happen naturally for people.  It’s not a book that tells you what to create, just shows you some things you must understand to remind you that you already know how.

For some, a purpose driven life is the prize; for other’s a purpose driven life the booby prize.  What do you want?
