Are you looking for true happiness? And if so, how do you find true happiness? Why is happiness something we have to look for at all? I know I’ve spent most of my life looking for true happiness. The more I learned the more I saw it had everything to do with me. In saying that, I’m not saying the old adage of you must find true happiness within yourself. No you don’t. If we open up the insides of a happy person, we won’t find happiness dripping out of them. True happiness is not a commodity that we can buy.
It seems the question of finding true happiness must shift from how do we find happiness to how do we generate happiness in our lives? What’s your answer to that question? How do you generate true happiness in your life? Have you ever studied that? Chances are you don’t experience true happiness by looking for it. For me, it became about learning to create what I want which allowed me to enjoy what I had created. Is this the answer for my lifetime? I don’t know. I’m not ready to conclude that generating true happiness has one answer, but I can tell you that there’s knowledge to be gained about how to generate true happiness in your life. The book, A Life Worth Living challenges us to stop looking for things in the world that simply aren’t there for us, and to start creating the world we wish to experience; even the world of true happiness.
